Co-Create is a product creation programme for Lush staff, aiming to promote diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging by lifting up authentic stories from respective communities. Co-Creator Jailene Cuevas shares her inspiration for this Día de Muertos product:

“My grandpa introduced me to visiting family members during Día de Muertos. As soon as he arrived at our family's resting place in Mexico, he’d say ‘Hello. I’m back to visit you,’ greeting them one by one as we filled their spaces with treats and flowers. He also introduced me to the power of building a family of your own, filled with relatives and friends you’ve grown to love along the way. As we age, we can all still honour the ones we’ve lost, whether they’re related by bloodline or love-line."

"This sweet delicacy was always something I looked forward to during Día de Muertos and every other large family gathering. It’s a low-cost dessert that symbolises a never-ending familial love and the sentiment of, ‘here have an extra treat, and let everyone have a treat!"

- Coconut and rapeseed oil: this coconut and rapeseed soap base gives a nice firm bar with fluffy bubbles — perfect for soap squidgers.
- Almond oil: rich in vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps to soften dry skin.
- Lime oil: adds a playful citrus note to the warm, creamy base, inspired by ingredients traditionally used in Mexican desserts.

Our proper soap is proper lovely and made the traditional way by saponification. We mix it by hand, adding in beautiful ingredients for their effects, pour it hot and let it cure before it takes pride of place by your sink.

This product needs no packaging and no introduction. It will arrive naked and proud in your parcel because we want to strip back on unnecessary packaging.
