In order to avoid shortages, we have many suppliers for our vetivert oil. Most of the vetivert oil found in our products is sourced in Java, Indonesia and has a deep, smoky, almost ashy scent, whereas in our perfumes we use an essential oil produced in Madagascar which has more notes to it and is described as almost citrusy by some.

This aromatic plant serves as a source of income for the small holder farmers who produce it. Additionally, its dense, fibrous root system also serves to stabilise the soil of the sloped terrain where it is grown. Vetiver is a truly dual-purpose crop: economically valuable and environmentally protective.

This self-preserving product is formulated to stay fresh and effective without added synthetic preservatives listed under Annex V of the EU Cosmetic Regulations (EC) No 1223/2009. Find out more here.
