Baklava

Delicate washes, delicious results. Soothing rosewater and moisturising cocoa butter bake up skin that's just as sweet as baklava. First served-up as a body wash, Research and Development Compounder Mirek whipped these ingredients up into a sumptuously softening soap. To help bring Co-Creator Samire’s delectable vision to life, he decorated it with gold lustre, cardamom seeds and swirls of green, to create a soap as beautiful as baklava.

Co-Create is a product creation programme for Lush staff, aiming to promote diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging by lifting up authentic stories from respective communities. Co-creator Samire shares her inspiration for this Eid al-Adha product:

"For Eid, it is very important to share food with neighbours, family members, friends and those who are less fortunate. Baklava is especially good for this, as large trays can be baked and distributed throughout the neighbourhood. It is also Sunnah (a tradition of the Prophet Muhammad) to eat something sweet before the Eid prayer, which baklava certainly fulfils."
